AERODYNAMIC AND STRUCTURAL MODELING IN THE ROTORCRAFT MULTI-PHYSICS SIMULATION VAST

In the DLR-Project VicToria the basis for a new modern multi-physics code for the simulation of helicopters is being developed. The implemented models encompass structure, unsteady airloads, vortex-lattice for the rotor wake and finite-state wake modelling. The application of the code to the free flying helicopter and the current state of validation is shown.
