AERODYNAMICS DESIGN, OPTIMIZATION AND FLOW FIELD INVESTIGATION OF A CONTRA-ROTATING PROPFAN AT HIGH FLIGHT MACH NUMBERS

Open-rotor engine, due to its ultra-high bypass ratio, can maintain relatively high propulsion efficiency and enable large reductions in fuel burn at Mach number around 0.8. The design of counter-rotating propeller was carried out with internal flow design method and the interaction between front and rear blades were investigated, which is of great importance to the design of open-rotor engines.
