Metallically printed sandwich structures with lattice cores are an emerging technology due to benefits in manufacturing, impact behavior and environmental resistance. Structural health monitoring (SHM) can be used to enhance the safety of new materials and designs. This paper tries to develop and evaluate an integrated SHM system for an aircraft with this kind of structures.
