ACCURATE MODELS FOR THE PREDICTION OF FREE-EDGE STRESSES OF COMPOSITE STRUCTURES UNDER THERMAL LOADS

E. Zappinoš, E. Carreraš; šPolitecnico di Torino, Italy

The prediction of the limit loads for laminate structures requires an accurate analysis of the local normal and transverse stress field. The aim of the present work is to exploit the enhanced capabilities of the models derived in the frameworks of the Carrera Unified Formulation, CUF, to predict local free-edge effects of general laminate structures under thermal loads.
