PRELIMINARY DESIGN AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF A DISTRIBUTED ELECTRIC PROPULSION AIRCRAFT

A distributed electric propulsion (DEP) STOL demonstrator developed. The aerodynamic characteristics of this demonstrator’s wing mounted thrusters have been investigated by numerical simulation, ground experiments and flight tests. The lift, drag and streamlines of the wing mounted thrusters have been studied and the effect of the installation angle of thrusters has been investigated.
