FAILURE PROCESS IDENTIFICATION IN C/SIC SAMPLES WITH A RANGE OF TENSILE PERFORMANCE USING ACOUSTIC EMISSION

An unsupervised clustering method based on the fusion of genetic algorithm and K-means algorithm is proposed to analyze the acoustic emission data collected during tensile test of 2D-C/SiC composites under room temperature. The damage evolution of 3 C/SiC samples is identified analyzed to explain their difference in mechanical performance, according to the pattern recognition results is analyzed.
