VALIDATING SURROGATE MODELS AND ICORPORATING UNCERTAINTY QUANTIFICATION IN MULTI-ELEMENTS AIRFOIL DESIGN OPTIMISATION

D. Di Pasquale¹, C. Bolart¹; ¹Cranfield University, United Kingdom

This paper focus on the development of validated surrogate models, as well as their integration with optimisation algorithms in order to define and develop a better design methodology, combining optimisation methods with uncertainty quantification. The test case is a section of a Multi Element Wing for which an aerodynamic optimisation under uncertainty is performed and results presented.
