The paper will present the results of a study conducted to assess the benefit of a so-called semi-morphing wing. A concept that achieves geometrical adaptation to flight conditions by means of a high number of redundant classical control surfaces. Although this strategy may be not as optimal as real morphing, it offers other advantages in terms of simplicity and certificability.
