PROPELLER WAKE - OBJECT INTERACTION USING A FREE WAKE MODEL UTILIZING LOCAL MESH SEPARATION

Interactions between UAV propellers and other objects are investigated with respect to their mutual influences using a Vortex Lattice Model for all considered bodies that are coupled with a Free Wake model. To increase overall calculation performance a local refinement of the time step in the wake region close to an object is developed thus enabling a larger overall time step.
