MULTI-AXIS MANEUVER SIMULATION FOR SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION OF FLEXIBLE TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT BY HIGH-FIDELITY METHODS

This work presents a novel approach for the comprehensive system identification of transport aircraft. High fidelity (CFD-based) mutlidisciplinary analysis (coupling of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural dynamics) is used to perform a virtual flight test in order to assess the aircraft's aeroelastic, performance, and handling handling qualities during the design stage.
