VALIDATION OF A DISCONTINUOUS GALERKIN BASED DES SOLVER IN FLOW PROBLEMS USING HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING

Discontinuous Galerkin method designed for unsteady computations will be presented. DDES with original formulation of wall functions is used. Test cases used for validation are Taylor–Green vortex, periodic hill flow, axisymmetric jet and dual-stream noise suppressing nozzle. The results include accuracy vs. computational cost, comparisons and scalability assessment on up to 10000 CPU cores
