This paper proposes a new approach using data-driven queuing models to estimate flight arrival delay under current and novel aircraft arrival strategies, i.e. introducing new wake vortex categories and automation tools supporting air traffic controllers, and suggests the best strategies for reducing delay while allowing future increase of air transport.
