ATTENTION: TARGET AND ACTUAL - THE CONTROLLER FOCUS

Having attention on the right place at the right time is a key element for safe and efficient process control by human operators, especially in the case of increasing automation. To achieve this, a newely developed and tested attention guidance for air traffic controller is presented in the paper. A similar approach can be used also in other safety critical industries to guide the attention of the operator by controlling processes.
