STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND TESTING OF A TAILORED SKIN SINGLE DUCT (TSSD) FIN APPLICATION

The design process for a fin application with hybrid laminar flow control (HLFC) is shown considering the new concept of a tailored skin single duct (TSSD) construction developed at the German Aerospace Center. Optimization methods are applied and simulations were done both for the static and the dynamic case. The letter one was validated by an Experiment.
