SYSTEM ANALYSIS OF TURBO ELECTRIC AND HYBRID ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEMS ON A REGIONAL AIRCRAFT

The study presents a comparison of various architectures of electrical powertrains with a conventional turboprop on a regional aircraft. The considered architectures include turbo and hybrid electric concepts. The components of the electrical propulsion system are evaluated and integrated into performance models of the propulsion system. Finally, the concepts are compared on flight mission level.
