A SYSML-BASED APPROACH TO EXPLORING INNOVATIVE SYSTEM IDEAS FOR AERONAUTICAL APPLICATIONS

This paper presents a method for exploring innovative system ideas using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) in combination with risk assessment and requirements engineering techniques. SysML models are used to document and communicate initial decisions regarding the entire life-cycle of the planned system. Potential hazards and risks associated with the system are identified in parallel.
