NEURAL NETWORK DRIVEN ADJOINT SOLVER BETWEEN FLIGHT-PATH OPTIMIZATION AND PANEL METHOD FOR AIRCRAFT DESIGN

The simultaneous trajectory and design optimization is useful for the conceptual study. Because it has a large calculation cost, however, as the number of design variables increases, it becomes difficult to obtain a solution. To solve this problem, a coupled adjoint method of trajectory and aerodynamics ware formulated. The example shows that this is applicable to many other problems.
