Electric transmission systems for transport aircraft propulsion systems seem to be one possible solution to fulfil future ambitious environmental targets. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the interdependencies of the sizing parameters and their impact on the design characteristics and off-design performance depending on the underlying energy supply and (hybrid-) electric topology is essential.
