In this work, the cost-benefit potentials are estimated for free flight aircraft trajectories which are optimized with respect to both, direct operating costs and their climate impact caused by CO2 as well as non-CO2 emissions. The study focuses on the comparison of these potentials for different characteristic North Atlantic weather patterns and distinguishes between east- and westbound flights.
