NUMERICAL COMPARISON OF STEADY DISTURBANCES IN THE WAKE OF PERIODIC BLOW-SUCTION AND ROUGHNESS ELEMENTS

The main objective of the present paper is to correlate the effects of periodic blow-suction actuator and periodic roughness elements and learn how one can substitute the other. This is done numerically using in-house code HSFlow. Blow-suction intensity and roughness height vary in calculations to make qualitative and quantitative comparison of near-wakes possible.
