The demand for shorter range air transportation routes has increased the interest in turboprop civil aircrafts that operate efficiently at lower altitudes. The accurate prediction of aircraft performance requires a proper thrust-drag bookkeeping to clearly define all aerodynamic and propulsion related forces acting on the system. This work provides an overview on the subject.
