The engineer of tomorrow will face demanding challenges in terms of cooperation, collaboration, communication, and other non-technical areas. Industry 4.0, resp. IoT and other cross-linking technologies will increase the level of complexity and interconnectedness tremendously. The authors venture to give an opinion how university education of engineers can be improved today to meet these demands.
