IDENTIFICATION OF OPTIMAL RENDEZVOUS AND SEPARATION AREAS FOR FORMATION FLIGHT UNDER CONSIDERATION OF WIND

In this work for a given set of formation missions over the North Atlantic in westbound direction the optimal rendezvous and separation areas that yield a specific threshold of the relative formation efficiency metric will be identified for the time period of one year under the consideration of wind. It will be shown, that favourable general rendezvous and separation areas can be identified.
