Operating environment of aircraft sensor system is extremely aggressive with wide temperature and humidity variation, suspension particles, icing etc. Exploring the ease and robustness of MEMS technology, a design of thermal mass flow sensor is presented in order to adapt the operational requirements to the aeronautic design needs creating an excellent complementary instrumentation to pitot tubes.
