The paper deals with the development of a fault-tolerant directional control system for aircrafts on ground. The objective is to verify the effectiveness of a multi-variable control system based on the use of rudder, nose-wheel steering and hydraulic differential brakes in parallel, capable of assuring satisfactory performances even in case of a jamming failure on the nose-wheel steering.
