APPLICATION OF AGILE MODEL-BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING IN AIRCRAFT CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

Aircraft conceptual design is an organizational and technical challenge. Agile model based engineering (aMBSE) is the application of the agile philosophy to model based system engineering. In this work, aMBSE is employed via a loop of SysML architecting and Simulink modeling to the conceptual design of a hypothetical aircraft. It is concluded that aMBSE greatly improves the overall design process.
