SURROGATE-BASED OPTIMIZATION METHOD APPLIED TO MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGN OPTIMIZATION ARCHITECTURES

This paper proposes to use surrogate-based optimization (SBO) method in conjunction with several monolithic MDO architectures by replacing the conventional gradient-based or gradient-free optimizers. The result shows that SBO can efficiently find the global optimum in different MDO architectures.
