HANDLING QUALITIES OF ONERA’S SMALL BUSINESS CONCEPT PLANE WITH DISTRIBUTED ELECTRIC PROPULSION

The handling qualities of ONERA's small business concept plane with Distributed Electric Propulsion are assessed. The wind tunnel test data are preprocessed to isolate the aero-propulsive synergy effects. All coefficients are approximated by polynomials before being included into a flight mechanics model which is trimmed to determine the flight domain and linearized to analyse the eigenvalues.
