The evaluation of Air Navigation Services (ANS) has gained increasing attention recently, both from an academic side as well as from policy decision makers. The main operational key performance area is "Airspace Capacity". The paper investigates the operational and economic aspects of capacity provision by European Service Providers as well as short-, medium- and long term challenges.
