The Eulerian multiphase model is implemented to study the breakup and diffusion rules of water bodies which dropped from the large-scale fire-fighting amphibian. The simulation results of this model was compared with the wind tunnel experiment data and the literature simulation results, which shown that the numerical model established in this paper can reasonably predict the distribution of water bodies, the final water pattern, and water density on the ground. Based on this model, the numerical approach to water dropping of the full size AG-600 aircraft, the largest fire-fighting amphibian developing in China, has been developed, and several working conditions will be simulated in the flowing work to guide the water-dropping method designing.
