EXHAUST PLUME EFFECT OF WINGED TWO-STAGE-TO-ORBIT SEPARATION AT ASCENT USING AERODYNAMIC-FLIGHT DYNAMICS TECHNIQUE

To investigate how to control winged TSTO at the separation in hypersonic speed, orbiter/booster’s motion without any control should be well understood. The flowfield with exhaust plume will be especially complicated and difficult to experiment on, so we simulated TSTO separation with aerodynamics by CFD and flight dynamics technique to discuss the separation feasibility.
