The shaft train stability and dynamic characteristics play crucial role on the safe operation of compressor. This paper investigated the dynamic characteristics of the whole train shaft including the rotor, couplings, intermediate shaft, and motor, and some suggestions on optimization are provided for safety and stability operation of the compressor.
