With the drive to reach the carbon-neutral goal by 2020 set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), operational fuel efficiency has become a top priority for the aviation industry. The work presented in this paper aims to provide Air Traffic Control officers with an intuitive climb/descent optimization advisory tool in an effort to improve efficiency in air traffic management.
