INTEGRATION OF ON-BOARD SYSTEMS PRELIMINARY DESIGN DISCIPLINE WITHIN A COLLABORATIVE 3RD GENERATION MDO FRAMEWORK

This paper deals with the integration of the on-board systems design discipline within a collaborative and multidisciplinary design framework. The process required for the connection of a system design tool with the other disciplinary competences is outlined. Then, a design study about an innovative aircraft is presented, with focus on subsystem sizing.
