SINGLE-AISLE AIRLINER DISRUPTION WITH A SINGLE-DECK BLENDED-WING-BODY

The Blended Wing Body (BWB) offers 35% less fuel-burn, 80% lower emissions, and 40dB less noise than today’s best airliners. Current double-deck BWB designs are impractical below 200 seats, leaving them out of 75% of the airliner market. A key enabling technology has been identified that allows single deck BWBs to overcome this barrier and access the single-aisle market.
