Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) can change the current aeronautical maintenance procedures. Typically, the damage is in difficult access areas which are hidden by coatings or other structures and Augmented Reality (AR) technology can assist in the accomplishment of the inspection tasks according to SHM principles adopted by Embraer.
