ON THE WAVE-CANCELLING NATURE OF BOUNDARY LAYER TRANSITION CONTROL

This work deals with the feedforward active control of the velocity fluctuations over incompressible boundary layers. We propose an undestanding of the mechanisms behind flow control via a wave-cancellation scheme, obtained directly from the inversion of the frequency-domain transfer functions. A reduction of one order of magnitude in the velocity shear at the wall is obtained from this scheme.
