HIGH PERFORMANCE PNEUMATIC SHOCK-ABSORBERS FOR AERONAUTICAL APPLICATIONS

The paper is aimed at elaboration of high performance absorbers to be used in aeronautical systems. This contribution concerns pneumatic dampers because of their lightweight, low costs and adaptive capabilities combined with simultaneous technical simplicity. General optimal design approach is presented and discussed in reference to development of the aircraft landing gear and airdrop system suspension.
