IMPROVED DELAYED DETACHED EDDY SIMULATION OF THE FLOWS AROUND S809 AIRFOIL FOR ANGLES OF ATTACK FROM 0 TO 90 DEGREES

Improved delayed detached eddy simulation (IDDES) is used to investigate the flows around 3D S809 airfoil on wide range AOAs from 0° to 90°. In addition, for comparison purpose, simulations of URANS, DES and DDES are also performed. Comparing all the simulation results with experimental data, the IDDES results show the best agreement at all the studied AOAs.
