THRUST MODELS BASED ON OPERATIONAL FLIGHT DATA USED IN PARAMETER ESTIMATION FOR SAFETY ANALYSES

P. Koppitz¹, J. Kuerten¹, F. Holzapfel¹; ¹Technical University of Munich - Flight System Dynamics, Germany

Predicting probabilities for incident types is possible via propagating distributions of contributing factors through incident simulation models. This novel approach initiated by airlines needs distributions of parameters estimated based on QAR data and supported by the developed thrust models. The models deliver meaningful thrust values leading to consistent parameters for multiple flights.
