INVESTIGATION ON THE POSSIBILITY OF FLOW CONTROL AROUND CAVITY USING TANGENTIAL JET

In this paper, the possibility of flow control around cavity was investigated by continuous tangential jet. The computational studies were performed to study the aerodynamic characteristics around cavity flow with the ratio of length to depth were 2 and 4. The velocity of freestream was 40m/s. The velocities of continuous tangential jet for flow control were various values that the ratio of free stream and jet. According to the results, the aerodynamic characteristics around cavity flow and the possibility of flow control using continuous tangential jet were confirmed.
