NONLINEAR STATIC AEROELASTIC AND TRIM ANALYSIS OF HIGHLY FLEXIBLE AIRCRAFT

C. Zhang¹, Z. Zhou¹, P. Meng¹; ¹Northwestern Polytechnical University, China

An efficient method for static aeroelastic trim and flight dynamic analysis of flexible aircraft is developed, basing on the non-planar VLM and co-rotational nonlinear double-beam model. Responses of rigid, linear and nonlinear structural models are compared, showing the structural flexibility that brings significant changes in trim behavior and flight stability of the aircraft is of great importance and not negligible.
