A FRAMEWORK TO ASSESS FUTURE AIRPORT NOISE APPLIED TO A TWO-RUNWAY AIRPORT

Aircraft noise presents a major challenge for the future of aviation. This paper presents the application of a method to assess impacts on future airport noise exposure in different scenarios. The focus of the evaluation lies on the impact of noise reduction of future aircraft types on noise exposure at the airport level taking into account future air traffic growth and aircraft fleet behaviour.
