NONLINEAR AEROELASTIC REDUCED ORDER MODELS USING MODAL COORDINATES

This work presents a reduced order model for aeroelastic analyses of flexible aircraft. Both the structural and the aerodynamic solutions are modal-based, for easy integration with current industry approaches. An example of nonlinear aeroelastic analysis of a complex structure shows the speedup factor and the accuracy of such reduced order models.
