QUASI-LPV MODELING AND PARAMETER-DEPENDENT OPTIMAL CONTROL OF MORPHING WING AIRCRAFT

Nonlinear equations of motion of a morphing wing aircraft longitudinal dynamics is transformed into a quasi-LPV form. Coefficient matrices become functions of scheduling states and morphing configuration parameters. For control system design, linear quadratic optimal control gain is obtained by solving the Riccati equation at every time step where the scheduling variables are taken into account.
