High fidelity analysis is essential for accurate prediction of rotor performance, but requires huge computational resources and time. In this study, EI-based efficient global optimization with variable fidelity modeling (VFM) method is applied to the optimization of the blade tip shape considering both noise and aerodynamic performances.
