P. Le Blaye¹, C. Le Tallec¹; ¹ONERA - The French aerospace lab, France

Large benefits are expected from operations of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems in the lowest layer of the airspace. A concept for RPAS traffic identification and management is presented, addressing associated safety and security issues. A technological development including onboard identification and tracking devices and on ground receivers and displays is described.
