SCALABLE DESIGN APPROACH TO ANALYZE FLIGHT MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE OF TILT-WING UAVS

This paper presents an analytical approach for conceptual design of UAVs with tiltable wing and tailplane. By calculating the acting forces and moments of each component, the significant aerodynamic and flight mechanical interactions are taken into account. The model is scalable to evaluate variant flight mechanical parameters as well as in overall size of the tiltwing aircraft.
