STUDY ON THE AERODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH-ALTITUDE PROPELLERS WITH PROPLETS

The proplet is able to reduce the energy loss of the flow around the propeller tip, and is very promising for the efficiency improvement of a high altitude propeller. The influence of the parameters of the proplets has been studied systematically and the results will provide design criteria for an efficient proplet.
