DESTABILIZING EFFECT OF LONGITUDINAL WALL OSCILLATION ON OBLIQUE WAVES IN 2D CHANNEL FLOW

Detabilizing effect of longitudinal wall oscillation on oblique waves in 2D channel flow is investigated by the Floquet theory. It is found that, depending on the parameters, the oblique mode is destabilized. From parametric study, these unstable oblique waves appear around the base flow direction on the wave vector space.
